Listing in December a Smart Marketing Idea!In December, traditionally less new listings come on the market. For a seller putting their home on the market in December means less competition from other new listings. There are a lot of buyers who have still not found the right home. Buyers are hungry for new listings. There are a lot of buyers searching the Internet every day for new listings. Today, buyers don’t stop looking for their new home in December, even if their agent begins to hibernate, because of the access to listings that they now have on the Internet. Many of them have saved their searches and are automatically notified when a home matching their criteria, hits the market. A well priced new listing in good condition is sure to catch their eye and generate showings. In December the buyers are still there, there are just less new listings to look at. As a side note, a price change to market value can have the same effect on your marketing. Moving your price to another price range opens it up to another group of buyers that are still looking. Don’t ignore December for getting your home sold!
