St Paul Winter Carnival

The 125th St Paul Winter Carnival begins January 27th and runs through February 6th this year.  Minnesotans embrace the cold weather and actually celebrate it in St Paul with one of the best examples of community pride in the nation.  It is one of the great reasons to consider St Paul as a place to live.  The St Paul Winter Carnival is the nation’s oldest winter festival and has been running since 1886! The carnival offers a wide variety of events. There are parades that include the Moon Glow Pedestrian Parade, The King Boreas Grand Day Parade and Torchlight Parade which is capped off with fireworks.  The Parade Map offers a good idea of where to view the diffeerent parades. There is Winter Royaltylike King Frost and Queen of the Snow Flakes, the Flamboyant Klondike Kates and of course there are the Vulcans. Many also enjoy the Ice Sculpture and Snow Sculpture contests.  So celebrate winter in St Paul at the Winter Carnival!
